For the first time, PPB visited a crocodile farm at Siem Reap (Cambodia). Here are some facts about crocodiles.

There are a total of 14 extant species of crocodile.

Those in Cambodia are Siamese crocodile.

The physical characteristics of crocodiles make them great successful predators.

Predator: an animal that hunts, kills, and eats other animals)

They are carnivorous animals, feeding mostly on vertebrates such as fish, reptiles, birds and mammals

Crocodiles sit and open their mouths to cool themselves down

They can also swim at 15 to 18 mph (24 to 29 km/h) in short bursts
when cruising, they usually go at 2 to 3 mph (3.2 to 4.8 km/h)

The eyes, ears, and nostrils are located on top of the head, allowing the crocodile to lie low in the water, almost totally submerged and hidden from prey.

Crocodilian sense of smell is also very well developed, aiding them to detect prey or animal carcasses that are either on land or in water, from far away.

A female crocodile lays between 15 to 50 eggs
in a nest after mating

Despite their large adult sizes, crocodiles start their lives at around 20 cm (7.9 in) long

Crocodiles can also dance Gangnam Style

Just Kidding :))
