10:14 Kru are ethnic group from West Africa known for their opposition to slavery and also being superb sailors. Due their skills they were really valuable for Western Powers as skilled workers instead of slave labour. Sailors of Kru ethnicity were known as Krumen.

I don’t know why they have to make the barrier for exploration cost. Castile and Portugal were historically poor nations that started exploring partially because of this. These expeditions were also a lot of times privately funded with the expectation of loot making funding from the government not necessary.

Kru are a major West African ethnic group in particular in what is now Liberia. In fact, they had a large conflict with the Amero-Liberians who kind of recreated the slavery economy, just with themselves on top of the Kru. This continued to be a major ethnic conflict in Liberia up until the 21st century.

11:25 the game is indeed called Europa Universallis but it would be cooler if americas provinces started with native names and change to european ones after colonization. Also if you are playing as Portugual and colonize north america it woule be silly to have the names of the states in English while if you are playing as England and colonize Brazil to have a province called São Francisco.
