Motorola Defy Rugged seems like the perfect smartphone for hardcore adventure junkies. The phone can endure extreme conditions and also survive underwater. Motorola had launched the smartphone in Europe. The phone comes with a lot of quirks, it is not like those usual phones that collapse after falling on the ground. The company claims that the phone comes with dual-sealed housing. The Defy has been put through rigorous tests but the phone seemed to have passed them all.

Motorola has said that the Defy has been tested for real-life resistance. Defy is a waterproof phone, certified to industry standards (IP68) and can be submerged to depths of 1.5m for 35 minutes. It is also drop-proof to 1.8m2 and certified to military standards (MIL SPEC 810H), facing temperature extreme survivability, vibration and tumble tests. The company has also claimed that smartphone is washable, and you can wash it as many times as you wash your hands.
