This song completely wrecked me!! I can't even put into words the emotions that just came upon me!!... I've had it on repeat several times & I can say that I'm still bawling uncontrollably!!! I was with my Ex for 18 yrs & there were MANY beautiful, beautiful moments that we shared together but there were also so many times that were VERY VERY painful that destroyed the person i once was...there were days where i begged God to take me in my sleep because i could no longer take the emotional pain of it all, instead he gave me the strength to walk away from the man that i loved so deeply & had intended on spending the rest of my life with...it was the worst heartbreak I've ever felt!!! We raised 5 kids together & he became the Father to my 3 that were not his biologically & raised them as his own & the love & respect i have for him for that alone is unfathomable!....I will ALWAYS love him & he will continue to hold a piece of my heart until i take my last breath....its just a different kind of love that i now feel for him... I have been slowly forgiving him for the pain that he caused me but I've learned through all this that healing is a process & it takes time to heal & even though i wish we could have worked things out I'm grateful for the way i love him now!!!

Planning my 20th anniversary in 2025 and I feel like I found the theme song. The way I love my wife now is so very different than I could have ever thought. The interesting part is it has nothing to do with the good times but the challenges. While not exactly applicable to renewing vows, I will play this before asking my wife to marry me again.
