Who do you think The Goddess of the Sand is?

Link with the silver gauntlets, The mirror shield, and the goron tunic, was my favorite look in the game. All silver and crimson.

Been thinking about Nayru a lot as a goddess revered in a different land for a hypothetical Zelda sequel....seeing her theorized connections to the Spirit Temple and the Gerudo is pretty cool.

Damn, these p*rn bots are relentless, phenomenal vid though, I always wished they expanded more on the Gerudo lore in OoT especially in terms of the purpose of the Spirit Temple itself.

I didn’t know the dragonfly was the inspiration for the gerudo crest (v1.1), the interesting thing is that dragonflies are usually found near clean water. Lots of flow of water/sand/time analogies. I think this makes sense because if you can measure time you can predict future cataclysms. This is something that all human cultures can relate to in order to overcome nomadic life and have agricultural success to support a population. I like the real cultures connections you make in this vid 👍

Crazy seeing that sand ship made me think of the gerudo being pirates in Majora's mask. Now I believe o hard somewhere that termina may have been a representation of Hyrule from the view/memory of the skull kid. Considering he had been around since before the Giants went into a long slumber, he would've been around before the oasis dried up and they had waters to sail through.

Gerudo valley is one of my favorite locations from the Zelda series. And this temple is so beautiful and integral to the region. I hope somehow it comes back in future titles!

I really like where you guys are going for in this video analysis! how Kotake and Koume used the statue as way to fool the Gerudo tribe in being their blinded servants loyal to their cause. And these old hags have been doing this for four centuries.

I can see bits of a Buddhist origin and ancient Egypt (The Wing sun of Thebes) through the the statue of the Goddess of the Sand as Adult Link

But the cobra snake that’s on top of the Goddess’s head, the murals, and the shrine’s fort entrances kinda fits for a independent Gerudo like Nabooru is to bring renewal to her tribe as the Sage of Spirit. When comparing this to ancient Greece, Egypt, indigenous North America, snakes symbolize as fertility, rebirth, renewal and even immortality.

Nintendo really has a habit of taking inspiration from our world history and culture to make Hyrule what it is back then and in recent Zelda games today.

I love Zelda theories/lore videos; can't get enough of them! I love that you guys are so detailed in your research, to give weight to what you're theorizing about. Not only does it give me new appreciation for the Zelda games I know and love, but it also gives me some great insight to the games I haven't had the chance to play yet. I've been a subscriber for a long time, I hope you reach your goal very soon; you deserve it! 🎉

Not stating the name would fit with Abrahamic religions. The reason why YHVH is called God is because it's basically taboo to depict him in anyway that includes saying the name. YHVH was basically the censoring of the name. I can't speak for Islam since I know little about it, but I assume Allah is much the same concept

Interesting theory and I like how the thumbnail has "The Goddess of Sand" in Gerudo script.

What if it's really just another goddess entity. Like, why not, what's stopping the lore from having more godlike entities? Why is this one supposed to be someone else?

Well, now it's clear that the 8th heroine being Link is associate with the events from OoT but mostly, that there's yet a missing clue about the role of the Gerudo in Echoes of Wisdom.
