How did this beautiful, peaceful dream turn to todays nightmare?
What did we do wrong?
Woodstock was the highest peak of humanity. Everything slopes down since that.
A one-off happening. Happy I've been part of these times, sad that there will never be something like this....

I knew of Air Force veteran who served as a navigator during the Vietnam war. They were shot over Laos, and having parashooted he somehow managed to survive although the pilot wasn’t so fortunate . Over the next 30 days he managed to travel at night through the jungle using only his knife and survival skills, and eventually returned to friendly territory. Later, when he got home, he was fortunate enough to attend Woodstock, where he shared a joint with Janice Joplin when she happened to walk by him and his buddies. Iconic events of the late 60’s . War and peace!

Carlos Santana gave an interview about him and his group playing Woodstock. Carlos was high on mescaline and durning the song "Soul Sacrafice" he said that the neck of his guitar turned into a snake and was trying to control the neck of his guitar from moving up and down and sideways and that's why he was making those faces while he was playing...His Guitar Was Alive 😅

I was 14 in '69. When I hear Hendrix play "Villinova Junction", it's like he is using his guitar to say goodbye forever. That solo came deep from his soul.

I remember reading some time ago that, early in the concert, Ritchie Havens was asked to play because there wasn't anyone who was scheduled to play that was even there yet. He wound up playing for 3 hours and he said he played every song he knew. His " Freedom " was, according to him, was mostly improvised on the spot. I remember seeing the movie when it came out and the concert must of been a technical nightmare. Those sound guys must of been pulling their hair out.

I was there, got their Thursday afternoon stayed 'til Monday morning. I was 17 wouldn't
turn 18 'til Sept. 5. . I was worried about being able to buy wine in N.Y. you had to be 18.
Didn't have to worry, there was all kinds of stuff to do Buy Saturday they were selling Wine right
right out of the truck in Bethel. The best weekend of my life. From Havens to Hendrix
I Heard it all.

12 years old July 2 1969 five weeks before Woodstock. The closest I got as a devoted fan of Jimi was when the movie came out within years of the actual event. We had 5 television stations, CJOM was the only 'album rock' thank you our friends across the bridge in Canada.
