Phase-separation on a sphere: the Allen-Cahn model

Lateral phase separation with coarsening and phase transition in 1:1 a homogeneous mixture of two non-conserved phases. The model is the Alan-Cahn equation posed on a unit with 0.01 transition layer width. The long-time behavior illustrates geodesic mean curvature flow.
