I worked in a facility and every time I tried communicating to my nurse about anything abnormal they didn’t care. It was always “they are constipated” and they would give them laxatives which was more work for me. A lot of accidents were preventable if a nurse would just listen to us CNAs. I think what makes a good nurse is listening to your CNA and vice versa.

Awesome!! Thank you. I love my job. It’s been 1 month. We are called PCA’s as well..and yes..we do everything and anything for our residents. I treat them as I would like to be treated. And I love each one. Thank you again. This was great.

I’m so glad this video showed up on my recommended to watch! I recently passed my CNA exam the end of February and I just had my first CNA job orientation yesterday. I also became a CNA because everyone mentioned that it would help me be a better nurse as well. Just like you; while on my CNA externship and having the solo day to work with patients the way I felt helping & being there for the residents definitely confirmed the thought in my head that I should go to nursing school and finally become a nurse!
But now, that the first day of my CNA shift is coming up; I got nervous and rescheduled. I was doubtful of my abilities but watching this video reassured me that I got this & I will do well. Thank you for the encouragement 🤍

Never allow someone else a co worker to make or break your job or role or shift. Certain techs can claim the same a nurse could make or break there shift — not the kind of power we want to give to a co worker.

I’m considering nursing. However I have hip tendinitis, flares up during squats and kneeling, even walking for long periods of time. Would you say nursing a very physical job? Would a person with my condition handle being a nurse? I work in retail btw.

I was in a situation where i share rooms with a other patient in hospital . The cna was suppose to take care of both of us . I felt nusre was take care of others patient needs more than me . For example how you know which patient is total care patient.
