"The Forbidden Dance" is a Drama, Music, Romance film featuring the soundtrack, "Lambada", popularized by Kaoma. Also released as "The Forbidden Dance is Lambada" starring former Miss USA Laura Harring. It's a story about a princess in the Amazon rain forest who tries to fight a conglomerate threatening the forests by going to Los Angeles. There she links up with a rich kid who tells her that she must get on TV to succeed with her mission. The two come up with the idea of winning a lambada dance contest that is getting TV attention. The movie ending features the soundtrack "Lambada" (English Version and Original Version).

Drop dead gorgeous Laura Harring AKA Nisa! I was 13 years old when this movie came out 1990, living in Dominican Republic. I had such a crush with Nisa that I ended up buying the vhs video, rewinded every scene that Nisa danced, to the point that ended up learning to dance lambada for the purpose to impress and find me a girl as beautiful as Nisa. Loved that woman! 😂 She’s still beautiful at 58 😍😍😍❤️❤️
