Ive got one on my truck, its actually very nice to have when your working alone and you need to get up in the bed to get something heavy and you don't wanna throw it down on the ground, so the step is nice so you can just step down.

1) I live in Europe so I get to know those vehicles only from photos; also my judgement is limited only to visual and what I read in tech. sheets.
2) I am a Ford-fan so my answer would be not only unqualified but also heavily biased.
3) Get yourself F-150 Raptor! :))

This stuff is hard to discern sometimes...don't rely on their consumer web site. The media web site does a complete breakdown for every configuration. The numbers I quoted are accurate for the Ram tester that I had...remember, there are A LOT of configurations! Thanks for the note.

its a great feature for people who would use it, if you dont need it, dont order it. i personally would use it because ill be jacking my truck up, so a step would make a huge difference in getting into the bed

I saw this same exact truck in the ford store, n saw the interior n felt it n sat in it, n it was so nice! but the one at the store had a better grill, and yea my dads gonna get tht truck!

From what I like that would be Opel Insigna (I'd prefer the Sport-wagon), Toyota Avensis (again, the wagon looks even better), and if you are into Audi's I should mention A5 sportback... Citroën DS3 goes to production (I don't like that one too much)...

My fathers King Ranch, in black, doesn't have the tailgate step, which totally sucks.

Sounds about right, Ford Trucks are designed to tow, haul, and last forever. While incorporating some pretty decent luxury as well. Wheras the Dodge is more of a luxury car.... Just saying but like "EatmyDust1311" said, nobody buys a truck as a luxury car. Men who buy trucks use them daily and not as a luxury car. Hints why Ford F-Series is the number one best selling truck.

Hey Steve don't mean to step on your toes or anything but you said that you would like the Ford compared to the compitition in your last 2004 F150 review. Maybe we can fix that by driving the Ford first.

so, the f150 is a truck for people that need a truck, and the ram is for people that dont. good one ford, the only true truck maker. note to Dodge: people do not buy trucks because they are luxury vehicles anymore. people buy trucks to use them. the ford has all the luxury and build quality of a luxury car, and still does everything a trucker needs. come on Dodge, what are you thimking? FORD FTW

i don't like that one too much, not my taste really... but i am far from saying GM doesn't get anything right... SRX is fine by me, m.y. 2010 is pure hotness
