So seriously thank you. My apartment was flooded today, landlords failed to get me in a hotel, (their fault) everything I own is wet, including blankets and it's freezing with industrial fans everywhere, so.... I'm sleeping in my car tonight, in an unsafe neighborhood so my dog, cat and myself can be warm. I have tinted windows, and now that my daytime lights are off, I won't be bothered, or even noticed. :)

WOW-I am going to a drive in tomorrow night and I just got this 2018 civic in the summer. I was panicking because I couldn’t figure out how to turn them off. The manual was useless and internet searches kept pulling up how to turn them ON and not OFF. Thank you so much!

I can confirm this does work on a 2013 Honda CRV, the lights stay off as long as the emergency/parking/foot brake are engaged. I'm not a fan of this design at all but hey, at least theres a way to turn them off.
