He is proposing privatization without using the word.

He is describing 401k and that is the worst idea ever.

America is such a strange country. Social security doesn't come out of general government revenue? It's inconceivable to me that social security could run out of money. America has made things so complicated that it doesn't surprise me that the country was crazy enough to elect Trump. The governmental system is so irresponsible.

How did I never notice that Bill Cassidy is a spitting image of what Beavis will look like when he's an old man?

All we need to do is cancel the last eight tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations, clean up the criminality of wall street, and invests that money into programs for the people. But the GOP only sees the opportunity to get more money from their big donors to stay in power so their solution is to cut taxes again.

This guy was so relieved that the hammer didn’t come down on him for what he said. Hence the jovial, nervous, football talk. You could see him breaking into a sweat. This might fly on Fox, but not here bud!

Raise or remove the cap on SS taxes which is around $160, 200. Today, income above this amount is taxed modestly or not at all. Removing the cap would shift some of the funding of SS to higher income people.

Of Course a REPUBLICAN WOULD SAY TO INVEST YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY MONEY, ALL THEY EVER THINK ABOUT IS MONEY AND GREED, makes me sick.

Social Security should never have had a Cap. On income levels of contributions. Even millionaires should contribute the same 7%(?) on all their income each year.

Eliminate the income cap on Social Security or raise it to $150, 000, 000. Why isn't anyone talking about the elephant in the room?

Raise the limit to 1 million on ss taxes! Not the age to receive it

My retirement plan is a shotgun in the mouth. The Social Contract was demolished by business interests 50 years go, and will never recover. Social responsibility can't be turned into a profit scheme, and you can't rely on constant growth to keep it afloat. At some point Americans have to choose to take care of each other again. It's our time that matters, and we can choose not to involve money... especially with all the automation we have to manufacture and recycle medical equipment and supplies. That's another reason not to burn all the oil and natural gas... we need plastics especially for medical products like PPE, IV bags, syringes, centrifuge tubes, etc. We need to get real about this, with first principles thinking... not game theory nonsense of Crapitalism.

Love your traditional republican attitude. But as an Australian I can tell you there is a few million people here who definitely do NOT want to move to the USA.

Joe, I swear in the last few weeks you pointed out the fallacy of SS going broke. Why not just legislate funding that 25% instead of letting the “invisible hand” into the cookie jar.
