FUTURES LITERACY LAB

Показать описание
The creative arts have the power to provoke thought for critical reflection and inspire change on social issues. Through Speculative Design in the form of a Futures Literacy Lab on 7-8 August 2023, students of the Multimedia Design Department re-imagined a corruption-free future for South Africa.
Through the lens of trust, students provoked discussion and highlighted the voices of youth as the nation's future leaders and decision-makers, by designing for an alternative future. This initiative was co-conceptualised by the University of Johannesburg's Multimedia Design Department and the Transparency, Integrity and Accountability Programme (TIP) in South Africa.
TIP supports state and non-state actors to collaborate on implementing the National Anti-corruption Strategy (NACS), with an inclusive approach to society and government. TIP is co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), and is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in partnership with the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME),
