What I don't understand is why Nintendo composed such a mysterious, ominous-sounding tune if it only plays for a fraction of a second in-game.

But then a YouTube user recreates the whole thing HQ for all of us to enjoy.

I'd prefer this while the clock was going but nah it's gotta be the super stressful song that comes on every time you go to end a level.

You don't hear this in game because the frog switch is right at the start on all three difficulties, but even so, where would you place the frog switch to still be a challenge in that level? From pretty much anywhere in the stage, you can fall down a pit and ride the river below back to the start.

You can’t really listen to this theme in the game because the frog switch is at the start of the level

I am so sorry that everyone has never heard this music in their life because Wario has already pressed the frog's head in which limited time appears: in the normal level 9:30, in the hard level 6:00 and the super hard one. 3:30.
