The girls with the car spilling gas, I don’t think it’s their fault. From what I saw, the gas just kept going out of the nozzle, even though the tank was full.

To gas spilling out of the car literally happened to my mom a little bit ago so she paid for $25 but it stopped at $23.14 so she went back and forth with the gas pump and it eventually started leaking, and it was hilarious because the cashier was gonna do $20 but mom corrected her and she was like "I should have done the $20"

As someone who works in a gas station, the pumps do have stops, but they are generic. Every car company has different gas tanks, so it's not universal. It's not going to stop for every car.
Which is why most pumps have a sign on them that says you cannot walk away while fueling, you're supposed to stand there and hold the nozzle. And those little metal clips are a handicap accessibility, they're only supposed to be used by handicap people.
