In Chad, residents of N'Djamena cope with flooding

With around half of the city under water, residents of N'Djamena are building dykes, and using their dugout canoes to leave the flooded areas. "We are putting earth in bags to make a dam to prevent the water from taking the Good Samaritan Hospital" says Djimsara, a local resident who has been installing sandbags for almost a week.
