Whether it's true or not, respect to marshmello in his reasoning to not reveal his face. I get his fans are dying to know me included, but he just wants people to love his music and themselves. Understandably, he also doesn't want the attention of paparazzi and probably wants to be able to walk down the street sometime or go on a date without being harassed or snapped photos of. Weather sources say Chris is marshmello or not it's not 100% Confirmed so it would serve paparazzi and other outlets 0 purposes to take photos and stalk him. He gets to enjoy the glam and happiness of being famous and rich as Marshmello when he wears his helmet, and gets to relax in peace when he wants downtown when the helmet is off without having that fear of him being over magazine covers. Right on man. If I ever become famous for anything, I'll probably take this route. Once you are famous it is nothing but your personal life exposed to the world.
