I was wondering why Nagatoro always says "あざっす" when she means "thank you."

I really like how you put the English slang equivalent underneath it rather than saying that it's the slang version. Thank you and Thx!

I’m Japanese myself and I want to be respectful and as nice as possible so I don’t use slang words usually only by close bestfriends or cousins😓

I'm a Japanese, but I don't use too short phrases as this video. For example,
Arigatougozaimasu▶︎Arigatou
Sumimasen▶︎Gomen
Otsukaresamadesu▶︎Otsukare
like this, especially junior high or high school students tend to use short phrases I think. So, formal Japanese is better than Casual.

I've never said all those slangs yet! If I say ''あざっす'' people around me must jump with surprise! I'll try someday😂

My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in
California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

I learned otsu from games (Obey Me! and A3!) and azassu from anime 😭 I'm literally just weeb trash
(actually I'm here because I want to learn every language I can, and anime/games are easy to access and fun to watch and it's almost like immersion, I don't understand everything but I can pick some things up now. I also like listening to music in other languages - I follow a really great polish band called lor, they have two polish songs so far but I've also been introduced to other polish bands through my recommended so !!! I love languages)

We leave in a new generation when words have a slang in every country.

Am i wrong to assume that おつ is used in martial arts? Like juijitsu? Im a practitioner and i hear おす becuase i assume its lazy pronunciation from americans or the lack of making the つ sound maybe. Would like to know 🤔
