Thank you, I’m prepping for a electrician exam I’m 35 and changing careers I didn’t get too much into algebra during my college years and the way you explained this clicked! Thank you I’m glad I came across your videos

This explains why I kept getting it wrong, the symbol of the negative or positive confusion with adding and subtracting. It makes sense, I suck at math in general, but you have made it better for this 55 year old student who needs to concur this weakness in this area. Make more, please.

hello so I have a question when you where simplifying the binomials on the first one why was 2x + 3x = 5x not 5x raise to the second power?

When you add 2x and 3x would it not equal 5x^2? Not just 5x?

Can you also just say -23x instead of + -23x?

idk the odds of this being seen but:

why would
(5y-3)-(y-4)
not be foiled

but
(5y-3)(y-4)
would be?

I can see why students make these errors in the second problem. Why can't it just be simple for christ sake? so now we have to put in the plus sign where it wasn't that way in the first. math should not be this hard and frustrating.
