Best Selling TV Brands 2003 - 2024

Показать описание
These are the best selling TV brands from 2003 to 2024, based on yearly market share. The latest numbers from 2008 on are readily available from Statista and Wall Street Journal while the previous numbers come from research companies such as iSuppli. Although the numbers fluctuate back and forth for every company they do move in a general direction. Another note is that many Chinese companies offer white label versions of their own TVs to larger companies, so they may seem small and not show up in this video, but may actually sell more than larger companies.

I was a Sony guy back in the CRT analog days. When HD came along I bought a 55" Samsung in '03 (which I still have) and that's been my go to since then.

My Samsung TV was broken, but it operated for 14 years.
What a high technology.

Got a Samsung in 2010, still great HD picture, no dead pixels, plenty of HDMIs. Thought about upgrading but this tv still works perfectly. Seems it can go another 15 years. The downside, no factory bluetooth nor WiFi connectivity. But still a great tv. Before this one, I was a Sony guy.

LG is an excellent example of the importance of branding. They used to be called Goldstar and had a reputation for being cheap imported electronics, then they changed their name to LG (which stands for Life's Good, by the way) and changed the direction of their marketing. It's still the same company, but now they're a top seller.

For high end TVs I still go with LG OLED. For cheaper one's TCL is good with a good price to match...

Used to love Sony TV's for decades, when I got my first 4K Sony TV 65" in 2014, it worked without picture issues for less than 2 years, it started suffered from blueish colors, I paid $2500 for it, feel robbed, I'm glad sony went to the drain compare to Samsung and other brands.. My favorite brands today for TV's are Samsung and LG.

Bought a Philips in 2008 which died just three years later. Found out later that at the time i bought it Philips TVs weren´t built by Philips but by TCL that had bought the rights from Philips. Now i own my second Samsung and have never regretted it.

I used to subscribe to Consumer Reports Magazine back in the 90s. Samsung sent a letter to the editor about their concerns for being described by the publication as a budget brand 😅
