In this video, Hazel teaches you the topic of Hertzsprung-Russell diagrams. She describes the axis labels - absolute magnitude, colour, temperature and luminosity before outlining how to find the stage of its life cycle a particular star is at. She then goes over past paper questions on the topic to make sure you're well prepared to face the exam.

SwH Learning - the new name for Science with Hazel.

Exam Boards: Edexcel, WJEC

Hazel completed her undergraduate degree at St John's College, the University of Cambridge. She then did a PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate of Education) before qualifying as a science teacher. She now works full time as a professional tutor.

Super video but you mis-spoke at 2:13. Blue giants are hotter than red giants, not cooler. I always teach my students: top left = brightest and hottest. Thank you for your videos, my students love them!
