Turned out to be a great series on the Big Sur PCH, seems to imply that you get from Carmel to San Luis Obispo in about 2 hours in low traffic. Ironically not long after you said the trip thru the whole stretch was this first you had without being stuck behind a slow camper for ages (or turned around by CalDOT because of reconstruction), sets brought a moving camper obstacle in your way just for your trouble. Thankfully your vast production couldn't have the plot or the fabulous view of the scenery purloined, so the camper made haste to exit road right. As far as other trips to plan, how about in Sequoia Nat'l Forest and Kings Canyon Nat'l Park. Not as long of a journey as making it to Yosemite Sam, but many canyon jams and surely plenty of nice scenery along the way. You've got to get more videos into YouTube land before your state burns up!

Secret to touring, stop more often. Every 50 miles to 70 miles a short drink and stretch makes 300-500 miles easy. I am 6'2 so understand tall. I tour on naked bikes so fatigue can become a problem. I'm in my 60's

For our CA freeways, how would you rate the 650 against the 1000 now that you have owned the 650 for a bit?

Just recently found your channel. Really enjoy your videos and commentary! :) You mention Kawasaki in the video - just wondering if you ever considered a Versys?
