I want to become a nurse. I use to be addicted to drugs but I have completely changed my life and I’m no longer that person.

Graduating nursing school in about a month here. However, I’ve got a charge for misdemeanor theft. I did end up getting it dismissed though. Should I still take the NCLEX ? Or change careers 😢

Theft and Robbery you can be a nurse but u have to go back and forth with the board and get the records to show you wasn’t violent and have rehabbed!

Girl I had to go before the board for what I thought was a traffic violation, driving under suspension, and it was a misdemeanor. I received it in 1998 at age 20 and didn't become a nurse until 2000. Yes report everything. I went 3 months without a license.

Does theft include shoplifting under $200 25 years ago and dismissed? How about DUI 20 years ago?

Any kind of criminal background, class B charges that are super minor even, can still prevent you from getting some jobs at some companies

When these algorithms read your mind…This title hits home 😭 someone I know for attested for disorderly conduct and they want to pursue nursing. I was worried about their background and how it could impact their nursing career.

If someone got in trouble and changed ? Are people are able to prove to the board they have changed ? 15 years ago can a person change ? No matter the charge or conviction, if a person is wanting to become a nurse and feels they have changed, perhaps it’s still worth the effort . Thank you for the video .

Is it better to get your charges expunged or sealed i had a dv case 15 years ago currently attending lvn school in California, will this affect me in any way ? Since it was 15 years ago and a misdemeanor, will it also affect me getting my license, i am worried about this every single day .? Thanks
