Trump fires top US general CQ Brown in major Pentagon shake-up

US President Donald Trump has fired America's top military officer.
General Charles Brown was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
No reason was given but Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had previously suggested the general got the job because he's black.
