"Niin kaunis on taivas" ("So beautiful is the sky") was the Finnish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1996, performed in Finnish by Jasmine Tatjana Anette Valentin.

The song was performed eighteenth on the night, following Ireland's Eimear Quinn with "The Voice" and preceding Iceland's Anna Mjöll with "Sjúbídú". At the close of voting, it had received 9 points, placing 23rd (last) in a field of 23, a result which disqualified Finland from participation in the 1997 Contest.

The song is sung from the perspective of a woman telling her lover how special she feels when she is with him. She sings that heaven and earth seem more beautiful when they are together. Jasmine also recorded the song in Swedish, English and French, under the titles "En underbar himmel" ("A Wonderful Sky"), "In Dreams" and "Si beau est le ciel" ("So beautiful is the sky") respectively.

It was succeeded as Finnish representative at the 1998 contest by Edea with "Aava".

Jasmine Valentin is from a Helsinki family with ten children. Like many other Roma, Jasmine is self-taught as a musician: she knows how to compose, compose, arrange and accompany her songs.

She represented Finland in the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “So Beautiful is the Sky”. In the Finnish qualifier, his microphone did not work, and his performance had to start from the beginning. There were so many calls to the phone poll that the lines became clogged. The result was not announced until a couple of days later. Jasmine received nearly 68,000 votes.

In the international final, Jasmine said there was a lot of excitement, and it was a little heard in her singing voice as well. In interviews, she has said that a few moments before her performance, she was dissatisfied with her hairstyle and fluffed it back at the last minute. In the finals towards the end of the song, Jasmine was close to starting singing during the instrumental part. In the final results, Finland was in last place. However, Jasmine received nine points (two from Norway and seven from Iceland), which was the highest score for the last song in Eurovision at the time.

After the Eurovision Song Contest, media interest in the new artist declined and Jasmine has focused on touring abroad. He has performed in Turkey, Spain and Greece, among others. In 2007, Jasmine performed on the TV series TV 1 as a member of the Manne Menuetti Orchestra. In 2009, he has appeared in the TV series Manne Worldwide on YLE.
