Boeing, who are facing mounting pressures, have announced the delay of the upcoming 777X for not the first time. The planemaker now expects the first delivery to occur in 2026, one year later than the most recent forecasting of 2025.

There was speculation earlier this year that the 777X wouldn't see delivery until 2026. The strike certainly hasn't helped the timeline but this wasn't unexpected. The task at hand is to settle the labor issue, continue on with a revamped training program for new hires, and get the supply chain healthy. The upside of Boeing stock is huge but it will take a few years.

Airbus is my preferred aircraft manufacturer over Boeing because it has faced fewer issues than its amrican rival.

I do not understand how prolonging this strike benefits Boeing at all. Their already bad reputation will only get worse with their customers. There will also be cancellations of orders.

Being a fan of Boeing aircraft I was hoping for better news but guess knew this would be the case. At this point think Boeing has reached a crossroads and if customers are willing to remain loyal to the brand it will be at a severe loss to Boeing on the 777x program
