If this railroad were a straight line and not a loop, the distance will be the same from Mexico City to Dallas Tejas. I’m absolutely impressed, thank you for your effort and great work 🛤️👍🏼

Thank you for your honest take on this new train system. As a Mexican, it's very interesting to hear a foreigner's point of view and overall impression of the service.
Everything can be improved through honest feedback.

I appreciate that you always take time to address accessibility issues. Wheelchair travel is sometimes a challenge.

I travelled all around the yucatan in 2022 and i cant believe they built a train like this. Huge achievement.

As a visitor to Mexico i would be happy to pay those prices to travel in comfort and on such great infrastructure, but i do think the prices should be lower for locals. Looks like a great project, and those stations look extremely impressive compared to the 'copy and paste' low-effort stations that mostly get built in the UK these days.

30 billion usd for this railway considering the distances and difficult terrain is not bad at all. Great for Mexico, it was about time for them to have this impressive infrastructure. Finally Mexico stepping up!

I'm delighted to know about this train system. I've been thinking about enrolling in a Spanish language school and living with a family in Merida and viewing archaeological sites from there. Have done this sort of thing solo and with friends in Mexico City, San Cristobal, Oaxaca, and in Guatemala. I've had great vacations and made lifelong friends.

Now if only California managed to achieve something similar. Could you imagine a railway system connecting San Francisco to Los Angeles to San Diego to Los Cabos in Baja California.

I've got to say, these trains look fantastic in that livery and the interiors, whilst perhaps not groundbreaking, look very classy and to provide a great ambience.

Mexico truly is advancing like never before with their massive infrastructure projects, there are impressive things being built all over the country.. whether that is trains, cable cars, metro systems, roads, bridges, airports, shipyards, skyscrapers i mean there’s just about everything and also the inter oceanic corridor which will be the best alternative in the American continent from the Panama Canal. I’m so happy because i know for sure within a matter of a few years México will mean something else. Definitely no comparison in Latin america… now speaking of The mayan train, the one that you showed us is the Standard train, the train thought ideal for short trips and/or for locals mostly, the more luxurious trains with restaurant and VIP cabins are coming towards the end of this year… and the special trains for long trips (with sleeping Cabins with bathrooms) are coming next year. It truly is a massive project. A ell done for México.

This is an absolutely achievement for Mexico and I've been informed that it will improve the velocity to at least 200km/h in the Merida-Chetumal corridor.

Back in the 1980s I took the train from Nuevo Laredo to Mexico City a few times. Not the fastest way to get there, but the prices were low, the seats were comfortable and the cars looked like they were from the 1940s. The only downside is that they had no heat, so the nights could be very cold.

As an Aussie viewer, Really good to see Mexico starting to re-establish its regional rail network. It's a shame that stations had to be built a long way from city centres, which in the distant past may have been the case. It's obvious the workers are proud of their new and expanding rail system. 👍

The second type of train was literally inaugurated today. It’s called P’atal

It's great that Mexico is building some train infrastructure. Most countries in Latin America just copy the US-American Car-Only-Ideology and then wonder why transportation is a mess...
