I love the fact that in fantastic beasts we see adult wizards and witches. Their magic is complex and non verbal. Whereas in Harry Potter, just like Harry we were all introduced to the wizarding world. So the spells were simple and verbal.

I mean, forget the spells, watching Dumbledore and Grindelwald chatting calmly in a tea house is already enchanting!

Jude Law is probably the best casting for young Dumbledore. He really got the charm and likeability of that character

Being a potterhead sometimes feels like being stuck in an era you don't want to let go of. Love that this saga is taking us to the "grown up" wizarding world, feels like a natural to move forward to after hogwarts

Man, Tina is really being kept a secret in the trailers. Is she even gonna be in the movie or make a cameo near the end?

Newt is such an honest, pure and kind character.. it feels weird seeing him in the middle of war. I really hope that somehow Tina will be there to support him.. they should have their moment. I'm so excited, the cast is amazing!

It feels so different when Mads appeared as Grindelwald but I trust him because he is an amazing actor. Gonna miss Depp so much

I loved the moviee so much, Jude did such an amazing job portraying Albus, the way he talked, the way he carried himself with knowledge of how powerful he was but also with carefulness... this was by far favourite of these 3 movies, it felt really special to get to see him interact with his brother, seeing the friendship of Minerva and Albus in early times, hearing them talk about Ariana... i was so happy when i left the cinema, movies really make our lifes richer

I love how it looks less dark than previous parts and more like first chapters of HP with a lot of jokes and funny moments but at the same time Mads is totally badass villain who will probably do some big dark things.

I'm definitely gonna miss Johnny Depp as Grindelwald but no doubt Mads Mikkelsen will crush this role. But man, it's hard for me to separate Grindelwald from Depp

I really like that we are seeing Wizards use actually fun magic to fight each other rather than the magical equivalent of just shooting guns at each other like in the last couple of movies.

I love Kowalski's laugh and how he screams when he sees the witch

I hope that one day they will make a move about old times, where Hogwarts was just about to be built. 4 founders and their struggle to make the school. That would make a great origin story 🧙‍♂️🧙‍♀️

Although I think a lot of fans ARE upset with what happened with Johnny Depp and he was Fantastic, I think most fans are also NOT upset about Mads...at least that's what I've been experiencing. Mads Mikkelsen is a treasure.

I don't know about you, but Mads is very intimidating. He's like the Miranda Priestly of the Harry Potter franchise, silent but incredibly deadly. Something about those eyes, they're very haunting. I think they nailed his casting as Grindelwald.

At the end of the trailer a small short tone of the original Harry Potter series gave me GOOSEBUMPS.
This movie has the potential to make potter heads go crazy and awestruck. Love mads as grindelwald eventhough missing Depp.

This is gonna be amazing, I can’t wait.
Hate to see Johnny Depp go he was so cool and absolutely nailed the role of Grindlewald. But I am thrilled Mads took over. I believe he brings more of a menacing look and demeanor to grindlewald.
Nobody can replace Johnny but I’m happy it’s Mads mikkelson. Super stoked

If anyone's wondering who that school teacher is, it's Eulalie Hicks, a professor from Ilvermorny! We saw a glimpse of her from the second film when Flamel was panicking and consulted that photo album.

Depp was brilliant and what happened to him unjustifiable, but Mikkelsen is perfect as Grindelwald and whom David Yates, the director of every Wizarding World film since Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, originally wanted for Grindelwald.
