You have gone down the rabbit hole, the different threads and fabrics. My preference to stitch on is linen and even weave, for example Laguna. Yes, going into a LNS is like a candy store, so many products. You will have to do a monochromatic piece with one of your variegated threads you picked up, even DMC has variegated thread as well, for example, 115 is a popular red that stitchers enjoy. Enjoy your stitching time!

You don’t mark your cloth either! Do you do one ‘x’ at a time also?
