the best *free* makeup hack I've ever done 🥰 saying goodbye to all the splotchy powder touch-ups!

to be honest, the best way to prolong your makeup mid-day is to do this tissue step and THEN go in with your pressed powder. that way, you remove that layer of excess oil and shine without disrupting the layer of foundation.

This is also what I do everyday. I do still touch up with loose powder but I would always do this first (using facial tissue or kitchen tissue) then go in with powder.

It also happens when I have oily days. I have combination skin and somedays I'm more oily, other days I'm more dry. So my makeup tends to get really patchy no matter what I do, but if I have more powder and touch up it just makes it more noticeable like I'm making a paste or like you said, the coverage just comes off. It's a struggle!

I do the same thing! I can powder if I want, but I only after doing this! I don't like the texture that it leaves on the skin when I don't do that

omg this what I do with my make up haha. Never been a super huge fan of powders because of how matte (and kind of dry) it made me look, also because I couldn’t really afford so much when I was starting out so I would always do this after 2-3 minutes of waiting for my foundation to dry down as well. It helped to reduce the amount of transfer and oiliness without sucking the life out of my skin.

I do this too! It works better with those brown recycled paper towels as well. North americans would know those tissues lol
