This song made me have a vision of my funeral… the feeling was overwhelming. I’m only 23 so hopefully that day will be far away but it was like my life flashed before my eyes. I saw my future family, my future children running around, laughing with wonderful friends, helping strangers, travelling, saying goodbye to parents for the last time. All of it. I have been awoken from a long slumber of moving through the motions of life. Unaware of the intricate beauty of this world that is all around me. This song has woken me up to what is really important in life and how I want to spend the next 60+ years giving all I can to the world. Thank you for your art Peter

This song couldn’t have come at a more important time in my life, a place where I’m bearing my cross for Christ and just as I want to put it down I look around at all the people that depend on me and maybe that’s what makes the wood so heavy, so I keep my head forward but inside me there’s a much younger me, dying watching from my heart as the world gets the person that he needed the most. So if feels like God stopped my journey to address him the inner me the little boy who is the purest form of me big hearted a joy to be around filled what love and empathy for all he encounters who does not have it but as I approached him we both are crying as I had to answer questions like “is she leaving?” “Is God mad at us.” “Will he be angry because we are having this conversation.” “Will he mind if we cry.” This song is my way or saying yes, building the strength to carry us, the cross God gave us, and the mission to change the world for Christ, like he’s done for us. Thank you for the space you’ve given us to talk, your God sent.

Compassion

Such is the nature of life on earth,
For one being to walk over her landscape,
There are others that are inevitably smushed under!
And the earth goddess is fine with that,
For she knows every life taken is paid for in full,
As she notes down every debt taken on dry leaves,
The price of life!

Maybe it's on us to make our stay worth while!
For starters, to benefit those that reach out,
To enliven those that would edify in our generosity!
A life for every life,
Until it seeps into our being,
And compassion becomes as easy as breathing in!

And mark that day,
when our existence benefits more life that it ever demanded,
