One of the reasons Pakistan was created by the west was to distance Russia and India.. then they supported military dictatorship in Pakistan against a democratic India in multiple wars and intrusions...

Russia and India started working together out of necessity of cold war global risks..

One good thing that happened was Russians and Indians understood both are decent people, everything put aside neither would treat other unfairly or take advantage of... Only because of the decency of our cultures and basic morals.. That binding MOU was never written but will be adhered to. Only decent and respectful communities treat each other like that. This is the bedrock of Ruus and Bharat relation. Time tested proven and peace promoting.

People discuss non alignment etc.. all nations in this non alignment did one thing.. refute constant conflict and ensure peace is largely maintained and protected. And then Obama got the Nobel peace prize and Bush got a shoe...

From the day of Pearl Harbour attack till today the USA has been engaged in one or more war across the world.. they could not touch non aligned countries.. that's the reason.

c) Respect for Democracy.
