Alex Hales' Hammer Blow On Derby Day

Alex Hales displayed strokeplay at its most brutal during his 32-ball assault on the Derbyshire Falcons bowlers at Trent Bridge.

For the first time in the 2020 Vitality Blast, Notts Outlaws opted to set a target for their opponents, and the explosive opener helped to carry his side into a commanding position.

Accompanied by Joe Clarke, who himself made his third score of over fifty in this year's Blast, Hales found the boundary rope on nine occasions in a game Notts would go on to win by 13 runs.
