Have you ever wondered why is the Lady Justice blindfolded?
she holds scale and a sword in her hands, what does it symbolize?

Lady Justice is a well-known symbol of our justice system.
The origin of Lady Justice was Justitia, the goddess of Justice within Roman mythology. Justitia was introduced by emperor Augustus and was thus not a very old deity in the Roman pantheon.

Justice should be applied to every individual using a common set of principles without any favoritism whatsoever. The decision of the court should be based only on the facts and evidence without any reference to things that are not relevant to the case and the law.
