Great to see you on a Buell! I'm a 2017 EBR 1190RX owner. The Traction Control does not allow full engine power until 3. From 3 and up wheelie control is going to dampen everything. If you're able to ride this again, on a dry, clear day try 3. I ride with TC completely off unless it's raining. The 1190 is my favorite bike I've ever owned, glad to see people like you reviewing them.

I'm glad that buell is coming back, they always made cool and wild bikes.

It doesn’t make a huge deal, but there is a certain feeling of pride that comes from knowing a bike of that caliber came from the homeland.

Huge Buell fanboy here. The Xb12r was by far my favorite motorcycle I’ve owned.

OC: The Hammerhead looks so good. As far as where the bike is built, it doesn't matter to me as long as the build quality and reliability is high. A high-end litre bike built in a crap factory is gonna have issues. While a beginner bike built in a controlled top notch factory will always be better to my mind. Quality will always beat quantity, unless you can guarantee both.

I love the headlight design! So many modern bikes just have their
LED’s exposed in an ugly and bad design, I’m looking at you Suzuki and Yamaha, and I love they’re behind a lense and making it part of the windshield is awesome. Well done to them for that.

I'm happy Buell is still out here making cool bikes and they stuck to their roots. My friend saw the Harley era buell at my mechanic and we almost bought it. It had all the same cool little quirks, even like 20 years ago

Owned a Buell M2 Cyclone, didn’t know this was still a thing. It looks so amazing.

I had Ulysses. Eric Buell is a genius, and so is his team. God save them. Greetings from the Czech Republic, Europe.

The fact that Buell does not go all out with techie engine and chassis controls is simply amazing! When you think about who designed these machines and what his history is you can quickly understand why these bikes do not get all jazzes up with all the latest and greatest tech. Eric Buell was a racer and while all this new tech aids the rider in keeping the rubber on the road and the shiny parts upright it takes away a significant amount of the organic connection between the rider, machine, and road. The Buell is not meant for newbies but rather experienced clubman racers. I loved the XB 9 and 12 R bikes and while in a straight line they weren't going to hang on the highend with liter bikes from Japan and Europe but you get them in the canyon twisties and clover leafs it was a wrap because they were like gyros; twist a bit and watch it stand back up. I never rode a metric ss bike that handled as sharp and sure-footedly as a Buell. Glad they are back

I don't know motorcycles. I've never ridden a bike. I saw the thumbnail and had to watch the video. What a beautiful bike.

I went into a Harley dealership (In Reno) with my grandpa when I was about 10 or 11 (I'm 33 now) and there was a Buell up on a display, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I had never seen a sport bike in my life coming from a tiny town of a few hundred in the Sierra Nevadas... I've never liked Cruisers since that point. 😂 It just looked fast, sporty, and different from the time.

I love how it doesn't have rider modes, either you can ride or you cant.

Thank you so much for this first ride. Been trying to decide what bike to with and was settled on Ducatti. Till I watched this and now I am going with a Buell.

Hats off to this amazing review!
I didn’t know that Buell had resumed the manufacturing of motorcycles and I got really surprised by the fact that they made a old-school like sports bike with updated engineering and easy to be serviced - no need for special computers to unlock stuff or special tools to perform a simple piece swap.
The closest match for this bike would be the KTM RC8R but it’s rare to find one to compare or test.
Greetings from Brazil!
