One of the best headphones for electronic misic! I use HD8 with iBasso dx50 and external soundcard Infrasonic Amon. And it sounds great!

The HD8 DJ was the very first Sennheiser headphone I purchased when beginning my "audiophile" journey. I enjoyed their sound immensely, but they were bafflingly uncomfortable with padding in both the headband and earpads feeling too thin - especially compared to the second set I received: a Game One with a broken boom mic. I almost felt betrayed with the stark difference in quality of materials/build/sound for the HD8, but being unable to wear them for more than an hour at a time before feeling nerve pain at the crown of my head and pressure on my outer ear; yet the Game One, despite the thinner and less appealing sound response, was hands-down the preference simply for the fact that I could wear them without being reminded that they were there. So the HD8 sat untouched and gathered dust as more and more headphones were added to my collection, until one day I made a point to take them down, spend as much time enjoying them as I could, then list them for sale after I couldn't wear them any longer. I made it a little over two hours, haha. I definitely wish I still had them just for their unique sound, but that discomfort was just way too much: the only Sennheiser that I couldn't happily wear for half a day or more :(

I have heard that there's a pair of HD8 DJ that comes with 2 straight cables and a coiled one, the second straight cable is about 4ft, is that correct?

I stopped using my headphones because they feel off my head and the hinge snapped, looks like when I get some HD8s they'll be fine if they fall
