I once helped push a car that had spun out in the middle of the freeway over to the shoulder, but would never do that again. None of the other cars on the freeway slowed down, and they only barely chaged lanes in time to avoid us. I thought this is it, I'm going to die trying to help someone, totaly not worth it. Once the car was on the shoulder I left immediately without even speaking to anyone.

80 mph is the standard now. I admit i often drive 70- 80mph. Certainly, it's safe when everyone is flowing but whenever there is a road hazard it's hard to know how fast you are approaching before it's too late. There are still tons of drivers that are texting or don't even own a device mount. And these built in touch screens require flipping through menus to do simple functions like temperature.

You can put automatic hazard lights, airbags, and seat belts on cars, but installing brains that work in people's heads is impossible once they get past a certain age.
If you want to exit a crashed vehicle, make damned sure no other vehicles are coming, and get your butt off the road ASAP.
And, if you vehicle can still move, get it off the road. Worry about the scary noises it makes after you park it.
