2:43 Berserker Rage now immobilizes ZEDs instead of causing them to flee. One of the good changes they made before over-nerfing the class.

Just wanted to point out that the 2021 Xmas update switched controller aim assist/lock-on from aiming to ZED chests to aiming to ZED heads. I played with it off before but it's like playing GTA with how aggressive the lock-on is. Makes every perk, but precision perks, Sharp especially, much easier to play. If you're on console, Sharp is EASY S-Tier perk now, when it used to be one of the least played perks on console, now it's easy mode, even in a chaos pub.

Medic is definitely the best perk hands down. Buy the assault rifle and the incision and you have trash clear, big zed clear, and boss dps. Plus medic has massive move speed so you outrun everything, you get increased weapon damage, and you can non stop heal yourself and teammates. I think everyone forgets that KF2 has 100% hip fire accuracy, so no need to ADS with any gun, including incision.

I use the survivalist as a beta version of the medic. I love being a medic and keeping the team alive but the gun play can get so repetitive and stale.
So I put on the medic buff as survivalist and use any medic gun and regular gun I feel like that day. I know it’s not the most viable perk just a fun one to use more of the games weapons with

I think field medic is S tier, field medic can clutch up when everyone is dead and the movement is amazing

For me, survivalist isn't a perk you use when playing with others. It isn't a team oriented perk. For me it feel like it was designed as a perk you use when playing solo. It fills every role without leaning to hard in one direction. Along with that, I believe it's a good introduction perk for new players cause it benefits from all weapon types. Hands down I believe it to be the best perk to use solo. Now does it issues? Yes, the skills that can be chosen need to be reworked, cause most of them just kinda suck. Like melee expert is neat, but the medic training is better. Spontaneous zed-plosion is a better option then make things go boom since it is always applicable compared to lower explosive resistance.

I used to watch your perk guides years ago when I first got into Kf2. I took a 2 year break or so and just got back into a few days ago so it feels like a huge coincidence that you've just made a video on it after some inactivity. Much love, I really enjoy your videos

I wish survivalist was a customisable perk where u choose what stats u want then get like, 3 perks from other classes.
Customisation is fun.

The "pick one of two skills per 5 levels" system doesn't work well for survivalist. Barely any options for a "Build-a-class" class. Maybe it could be a bit more viable if there were more options to choose from. What if survivalist got 4 skills per every 5 levels and you could pick two? I really wish you could pick which grenade you get as survivalist separate from its skills.

As someone who dedicated a lot of hours into finding good builds and mastering survivalist I would argue that he isnt the weakest perk. Surely he wont ever be as effective as some dedicated perks but with right knowledge, skills setup and positioning he is the force to reckoned with. Although I can argee that majority of survivalist players play like "random bs goes brrr" which would justify its placement.

I agree on Survivalist, and this is from someone that uses them a lot. They’re meant to either fill vital gaps in team compensation or be a tanky emergency medic for a solid team. Unfortunately, this means Survivalists are inherently moderate in strength to make up for the fact they have a lot of flexibility.

One thing is for sure though, they have the most fun loadout combinations thanks to their skill tree. They’re also really hard to kill no matter what they choose to bring.

Survivalist needs it's level 5 perk to be 'faster reloads' or '50% larger mags' I think it would be way more compelling of a choice. idk I think it earns C tier, it's not the best and can be filled by a better perk but you can still win games on 6p HoE with survivalists

It all depends on your play style and every perk has it's place. For example Commando in solo is IMO tier B at best due to limited capability to handle big game. However the same Commando will synergize extremely well with decent Sharpshooter - Commando will provide room for Sharpshooter, while Sharpshooter will handle Scrakes and Fleshpounds, so perk flaws are nullified. Also frequent zed time + zed time extention works like a charm.

About Survivalist... Again - it all depends. Survivalist was the first class, with which I was capable to consistently beat solo HoE. High tankines, decent damage output, versatility and healing capabilites - sounds like fun.

IMO perk list should be split in two at least - one for solo play, one for team play.

field medic is my absolute favorite class i get to be helpful by keeping my friends alive aswell as shooting fools always big fan of high action supports

I feel like the survivalist fills in the gaps in a different context as in skill wise. Depending on how you handle zeds with your weapons the perk really comes down to being a personal favourite one that isn’t really there for beneficial perks but is there for the clutch I think it’s the noobs yellow brick road. To sum it up i feel like the survivalist perk is a gun nut choice.


Edit: also the perks it hands out give it flexibility on filling in team gaps like you mentioned and also it can’t be that useless if the stim needle regenerates faster than every single
Perk besides the medic.

While I agree in general, I often see people ignoring Swat's tankiness and utility towards big zeds, and Survivalist's support.
Swat wont be as good as commando since it cant zed extend, but it can be a solid trash cleaning wall.
Survivalists can be anywhere decently. Sure, in a well coordinated group and all it can fall short, but on pubs, I often find myself having to switch gears and help the big zed killer who got overrun with quarter pounds, or a siren making hell on a demo.
