As a left handed folk the art of opening a fridge is the hardest to master for its unique technique this is how you do it:

Take your left hand and place and the top of the handle while opening the fridge duck under your arm (without bonking your head on the handle) and boom an open fridge and when you get what you need close the fridge with your head.
