Understanding the Form I-134 Affidavit of Support for Uniting with Ukraine

The Affidavit of Support required for Uniting With Ukraine is *not* an enforceable contract. It is different from the binding I-864 Affidavit used in family-based immigration cases. Sponsors in the Uniting With Ukraine program cannot be sued by the government or sponsored immigrant (technically a "parolee")

I understand that if Beneficiary will need some Emergency Room or Hospital stay the Sponsor will not be obligated to cover medical expenses. But, in this case, if Beneficiary doesn't have money to pay for the surgery, who will cover Beneficiary's expenses at the Hospital?
Another question: will Beneficiary be able to receive any financial support from the Government under program "Uniting for Ukraine" (like monthly check and food stamps), and how to apply?

I have an odd case that came my way. I have a mother and her child that is asking us to sponsor them to come to the US and then she just wants to go her own separate way after we do that.
She says she has a friend in another state who agreed to take her & her daughter in and will support them.
My main question is if we did this and one day this person was found in a ditch somewhere or she decided to start selling drugs, etc. in order to survive...are we responsible for this in any way? What responsibility to we bear for what this family does since they technically came through our sponsorship? Thank you!

Greg, I have a question, what kind of responsibilities go on the sponsor ? according to the many videos sponsor is not responsible for anything, and in instruction for I 134 there is no any clear information, if not responsible and the sponsorship is not enforceable what reason for my income and assets, everything I think they need my status in US and background check . looks like there’s a trick. I am trying to complete the form to bring a family of 6 here to stay with us. Do i need to complete the form for EACH person? Or when i list the dependents is that assumed since they are dependents we are sponsoring all of them? It is for a couple and their 4 children.
