Calculus III: Three Dimensional Coordinate Systems (Level 8 of 10) | Sphere Examples II

This video continues the exploration of a three dimensional cartesian coordinate system.This video covers three intermediate examples that requires the use of the equation of a sphere. Two examples illustrate how to find the center and radius of a sphere by rewriting an equation into its standard form by completing the square. The final example illustrates how to find an equation of a sphere that is tangent to each of the coordinate planes.

In example 3, we could find the distance from xy plane to center by simply checking the z coordinate which was 6, y take the longer method? Whereas, for yz and xz, u took the shorter way. It confused me for a while.
