Hi everyone, the Fungal Infection: Spore mod will introduce new types of Infected mobs to Minecraft like in The Last of Us. There are many monsters, bosses and your world will slowly be changed by the fungal infestation. Enjoy!

Something else that I learned from the mod author, all the mobs gain the weakness debuff in cold biomes and starve twice as fast. You'll have better survival odds if you set up your base in one of those biomes.

Edit: One thing I forgot, the mobs also can't evolve in a cold biome unless sheltered as well, so that's another benefit.

Also a random fun fact: since the mod is compatible with alexs caves, the breacher which is a calamity can actually be easily defeated by the Alex's caves Hullbreaker mob. Which is a very cool fight. Trust me i found out about it accidentally while on a sub and nosediving into the abyss biome only to find out im being chase by two behemoth fishes. Since the breacher attacks non infected mobs it will attack the hullbreaker and will proceed to fight each other. The hullbreaker is stronger tho.

Theres always a bigger fish.

Edit: I've found a video that showed the hullbreaker and breacher fight each other, it's from a YouTuber "Karat Feng" in one of his mob reviews. I still feel amazed by how a natural fish made by evolution wins against a amalgamation of flesh that's just born yesterday.

Also you should have mentioned that most of mycelium flora is extremely flammable so setting the infested lands on fire is also an option to clear the area.

Spore infection is still my faiv infection mod. Its the most fair and creepiest imo. The fact it can spread underwater and seeing those vines just raising from the ocean is so unnerving!

The Hindenburg calamity really caught me off guard. Theres so many really cool mobs with neat names and then it comes out of left field like wtf? Really good mod though, im def gonna play in with my friends some time!

If you don't like how difficult srp is and also want a mod for versions above 1.12.2 this is the best mod for infection type gameplay

I love how slow and gradual the infection spreads and because of how infected mobs can spawn naturally it means no matter how skilled or thorough you are it’s only a matter of time before a hive mind is created.

What i learned in this mod ranged weapon mods guns spears or vanilla bows is a huge advantage because majority of them are melee combatants
