Chrome, I do death. Please know it’s sacred ground. It changes you and makes you realize how precious and fragile life is. Go be with your Mom. Try to be there if you can when she passes. You won’t regret it, I promise.

An old man's advice: Go to the hospital, see if they'll let you in. Often, when someone's time is near, they will let you in. Make the effort, it will be worth it.

Unfortunately losing your parents is in life's design. It doesn't get easier. I remember losing my mom, and at middle age, I truly felt like an orphan! My love and prayers for both you and your mom.

Chrome, your mom seems to have lived her life on her terms. You are living life on yours. But please don't have any regrets. Make sure you say I love you and make sure you say goodbye even if you do it privately to the moon and the stars. It's a simple but very important gesture. Best wishes!

Oh, Chrome, my heart goes out to you and everyone involved in your mom’s health situation. Every time I hear an update, I’m instantly reminded of the year of struggle my mom (and I, being than only child and the one helping her with everything/making decision) had before she ultimately moved on from this part of her journey. It was ROUGH to say the least. A lot of your mom’s situation sounds very familiar. My mom was diabetic and chose to live her life the way she wanted, despite doctor’s recommendations. She was doing ok until she wasn’t. She went in for one surgery and it was all down hill from there. I’m sorry to hear that your family is going through this. The number one thing that helped me was to comes to terms that we all make decisions and are responsible to our own actions in life and, unfortunately, for my mom, she chose to live a lifestyle that ended her time here on earth very early (58yo). I hope this helps you too and I wish your family strength during this transition.

My mom had a brain aneurysm the only thing that was keeping her alive was a machine so my sister and me had to make a decision. We had to let her go she's in a better place now.

I’m not saying it’s the right thing for anyone else but for me the best things I have done in my life is spending time with friends and family before they passed. Peace be with you Chrome

Having lost both my parents to cancer at different times, I understand it's scary - I was lucky and I'm the youngest of three brothers, so I had support. Just take the time you have to be with your mum when you can, try and make sure she's comfortable, and remember it's ok to NOT be ok. It's fine to randomly get sad even before you lose someone because you know it's coming (and especially after). I take death better than most nowadays, after some practice, I mostly remind myself that when they go, it's often a release from pain, and not being religious, I just think of it as a release for them, from pain and worry. We get to carry on worrying for them! Take care, man, and give Cruze lots of hugs.

Chrome, I've been a long time viewer but don't comment much. But I just want to say that I totally understand what you're going through with your mom. I just lost my grandmother recently to cancer and it's really rough when you're not even sure what you can do. I wish you nothing but the best as you and the rest of your family go through this process. Your mom seemed like a great person from what we saw of her in the videos and we're fortunate we got to meet her in some form before this all started. So thank you for doing what you do and sharing your life and story with us. Even the hard stuff. Because that's how you stay real in this crazy world we live in.
