Truthfully, I think it’s subjective. If you like more old school hip hop, you’d probably pick madlib, but if you like the more modern trap era of hip hop, you’d probably go with Metro. Both did amazing work though👏💯

Everybody send some prayers out to Madlib and his family. He lost his home in the fire. Had a lot of his rare vinyl collection and who knows what other vintage items. As a producer this hurt my soul. 🙏🏽. But glad there all safe.

I appreciate that you challenge yourself to explore different sounds. I've discovered some inspiring sounds when I've challenged myself to use a sound outside of my comfort zone and experiment with it a bit. It's funny, because in some ways I tell myself that I'm compromising my artistic integrity or losing my identity. But then I prove myself to be incorrect once the song settles into itself. It's still my voice, but it's a different story being told, like a different genre of storytelling.
