Single Fold Binding by Machine

When I create smaller projects like mug rugs, wall hangings, or table runners I like to use single fold binding and I sew it completely by machine.

I currently go live twice a month on the first and third Saturday at 11:00 am mountain time. I live in Arizona where there is no daylight savings time.

I haven't tried single fold binding yet. However, I have done the self binding technique. The folding the edge of the backing to the edge of the front of the quilt, bringing the folded edge around, and then sewing from the front seems similar. The other difference is how the backing is cut near the corners to get mitered corners. It is wonderful to have multiple binding options! 🙂
