The HYUNDAI SONATA is a mid-size sedan from the South Korean Manufacturer HYUNDAI.
It is known under different names in various parts of the world. In Italy it is the HYUNDAI SONICA, HYUNDAI MOINCA in China, HYUNDAI NF / NF SONATA in Russia, as well as HYUNDAI i45 for the 6th generation.
The 1st HYUNDAI SONATA was the face-lifted version of its predecessor, the HYUNDAI STELLAR.
There are various Fuel options offered by the SONATA: The regular Gasoline / Petrol, Diesel, Hybrid(Since 2010) and a Plug-in Hybrid (Debuted with the 7th Generation SONATA.

In terms of the competition, the SONATA face some fierce adversaries like TOYOTA's CAMRY, the HONDA ACCORD, the MAZDA 6, the NISSAN ALTIMA FORD's FUSION and the likes of the VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT. You get the picture. Though I believe HYUNDAI SONATA-especially the latest generation, makes a fair adversary.
The designers at HYUNDAI have done a great job over the years and the 8th Generation SONATA is a very well designed vehicle with those headlights.

I was unaware that Hyundai Sonata went as far back as the 80s...I currently have a 2015 GLS, the 7th Generation LF, it has a slight resemblance to an Audi, I love the front end view, and side profile on these cars, befor the facelift that came later on.
