Luminar 4 is a GAME CHANGER | Review + FREE Sky Replacement Packs

Just so you know, I approached Skylum first, because it's not very often that I come across photo editing software that truly blows my mind, but Luminar 4 has done just that.

Everyone is talking about the AI Sky Replacement feature, which is just as good (or better) than you've heard, but it also has a full-fledged RAW photo editing workflow.

On top of that, there are even more artifical intelligence tools that automatically mask and enhance your photos with just one slider. Some of my favorites are under the AI Portrait Enhancer tab, allowing you to brighten faces, enhance eyes, soften skin, and more.

It's not the perfect software or even necessarily the best photo editing app out there, but it does excel in a lot of areas where software like Lightroom and CaptureOne fall short. It also works in conjunction with Lightroom and Photoshop as a plugin to give you best of both worlds.

This is an in-depth Luminar 4 review and tutorial in some ways, but more importantly, I simply share the features inside of Luminar that I think are game changers when it comes to photo editing (including AI Sky Replacement).

I've also put together a pack of 16 free skies below that you can use with Luminar's AI Sky Replacement feature, or in any other photo editing software since they are JPG files.

Yes, if you use this link I get a small commission, but I would seriously not recommend this if it wasn't something I plan to personally use in my own work going forward.

Plus you have 30 days to get a full refund if you don't like it.

NOTE: I didn't cover it in this video, but on top of being standalone software, Luminar also works as both a Lightroom and Photoshop plugin, so you don't have to choose one or the other! You can use all the best Luminar tools (like AI Sky Replacement and the AI Portrait Enhancer sliders) in combination with your usual workflow in Adobe software.

What is the most exciting feature in Luminar 4 to you? Besides AI Sky Replacement, mine are the portrait editing tools.

Do you want to learn how to add reflections to water for your sky replacements? Leave a comment if you want me to make that tutorial!

Your video has convinced me to give Luminar 4 a try. I'm a newbie to editing software so any advice I can get via You tube is great!

will it work on raw images for sky replacement?
and will it mess up a big print where its bringing in what luminar thinks is great quality but it will mess up a 2k fujiflex 3 by 6 ft print?

I’m a blind photographer so editing can be extremely time consuming especially in photoshop so this software looks like it’d be a huge help for someone like myself.

Apart from many other problems with L4 (which I was absolutely grilled for pointing out 😅), one that we'll all start seeing soon is thousands of photos in people's feeds with the exact same looking sky 🙈

Well if you are Instagrammer yes it might be game-changer for you... but if you are actual photographer luminar lacks a lot of things...
you cannot edit THE METADATA OF YOUR PHOTO.... like wtf ... also the sky replacement is not as good as you think. you should have perfect photo that can be used for this otherwise it has a lot of flaws. The noise reduction or luminar is awful compared to Lightroom and DxO optics pro... Also, I was surprised how bad the chromatic aberration was in Luminar compared to Lightroom and DxO optics pro ... soo stop chatting bullshit luminare is a big fuss for nothing ...
