This was the review I looked through 20 reviews to find. Perfect, simple, to the point.

You don't get a more punishing review for a dual sport than hammering it round the MX track :) Brilliant stuff cheers.

Thank you for showing the capabilities of the bike. The first video I have seen that makes me actually want to buy one!

Very good to know it can handle an MX track - I used to ride motocross and was wondering if this bike was capable.

Thanks for the informative review.
It’s good to see the little CRF300L in action on the track!
It seems to do well right out of the box.
I have a deposit down on a CRF300L Rally. They should be arriving in the States next month.
At 68 kilos, I am a bit lighter than you. Also, I do not do much motocross style riding, so I should have no trouble handling the Rally.
Looking forward to playing in the dirt!
Happy Trails

I took mine out to flackwell heath and it was bottoming out everywhere, considering I weigh 65kg it was a bit pants.. for me I felt it definitely needs suspension looking at if I was to continue doing my..

Great review though, it was good to get a another opinion..

Thanks for not upgrading suspension yet. I have a Rally version coming and plan on not upgrading any of it since I won't be buzzing MX tracks of tight single track but I do wonder how it might perform in deep sand. :)

Been waiting for this sort of test for some time now, thanks!

Fyi Bikerzbits has a few different levels/options for YSS shocks. Looks like they even have a "race" version now with hi and lo compression adjustments.

Good video. I had been wondering how it would handle an MX track.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience! After upgrading the suspension, is the bike capable and sturdy enough to use it regularly (moreless once every two weeks) for training and having fun in motocross track? Not competing, just for going at good pace and having fun. I believe that between low maintenance bikes it's the closest one to a proper motocross bike on the market, maybe even better than the Ktm 690 enduro (mainly because of the weight difference), but please tell me what you think about it. For me it would be a dream going to the track near home without purchasing any cart or pick-up, without caring too much about maintenance and even carry a passenger when needed! It would be truly a "do it all" motorcycle. Thank you in advance for your advices!
