Tariq Oluokun known professionally as TAR1Q (TAH-reek) is a Nigerian singer-songwriter signed to Chocolate City Music. Blessed with a velvety voice and tone, he stands out for his heartfelt storytelling, stage presence and his chameleon-like ability to blend distinct genres.

His musical style, which he terms ‘Afro-Rhythm’, synthesizes contemporary Afrobeats, Pop, Hip-Hop and classic R&B.

In 2021, he was approached by Chocolate City, and signed to Nutrybe where he was able to create music. After one (1) year in the Academy recording music, Tar1Q graduated with a total catalog of 60 unreleased songs, and a very clear understanding of his sound and his brand. He released two EPs under the developmental Academy and has, now, transitioned to being a Chocolate City artist. This debut release under the label is a testament to his honed artistry and growth.
