Iran is a country that floats on huge amounts of oil and gas, but its people are poor. Israel has military power, but its people are insecure. The reason is the existence of two extremist and incompetent regimes who don't know how to use resources they have very well. If both regimes had preferred peace in the region instead of expansionist agendas to restore the glories of ancient empires, or to achieve religious goals. The Jews, Persians, Arabs, Turks, Kurds, and the rest would have been able to cooperate to develop the region, as the Europeans did, despite the diversity of their ethnicities and their lack of resources comparing to the Middle East, which is considered the richest spot on the planet !!
